Profhilo® is a treatment that is designed to hydrate the complexion from the inside out, smoothing wrinkles while boosting collagen and elastin production.
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement.
Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo® is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening and lifting effect on the tissue. Our recommendation for optimal results is a course of two treatments spaced four weeks apart.

Will it work for me?
The treatment is aimed at people with visible signs of ageing skin, usually people between the ages of approximately 40-60 however, that doesn't mean it can't work for others. In younger people it will have a more preventative effect, while older people may also find Profhilo® beneficial and indeed some have seen dramatic results. A consultation is important to ascertain the condition of the skin and whether other treatments may be more suitable.

The treatment is suitable for men and women and can be tailored to meet the needs of each client. As we age, the face undergoes various changes, often resulting in two predominant ageing profiles: 'sinkers' and 'saggers'.
'Sinkers' typically exhibit a hollow or sunken appearance due to the depletion of adipose tissue in areas like the cheeks. This loss of volume can create pronounced facial hollows, making the face appear gaunt and aged.
'Saggers' often experience tissue droop and fat bulges. The tissues appear to slide away from the underlying bone structure, leading to increased laxity and sagging skin. This can result in a heavier, more aged look particularly in the lower face.
Profhilo® Structura addresses both of these ageing profiles by either replenishing lost volume in 'sinkers' or lifting and tightening sagging tissues in 'saggers', providing a more balanced, youthful appearance.

Profhilo® BODY
Profhilo® BODY is the only injectable treatment specifically indicated for treatment of skin laxity in body areas.
Designed for tissue remodelling and improvement in skin laxity of the body, particularly suitable for inner arms, abdomen and other body areas affected by skin laxity. It promotes the restoration of firmness, tone and elasticity of tissues in an authentic way, leading to a multi-level remodelling of the extra-cellular matrix in terms of elasticity and support, as well as maintaining and promoting the normal vitality of Keratinocytes, Fibroblasts and Adipocytes.
An initial treatment cycle of two treatment sessions with a 30 day interval is recommended, followed by, if necessary, maintenance treatments every 2 months.
